An ambient worship synth: 16 scenes, four voices each, always in a major key. Press PLAY and play along.

Getting around

HOME	The crystal orbit. Press again for the 4-track mixer.
PRESETS	The 16 scenes.
SEL + PRESETS	Your saved user presets.
PLAY	Start or stop the scene.
ARP	Keys play the focused voice live (green PLAY badge). Press again: keys set the key.
REC	With ARP on, record what you play into the sequence.
SAVE	Save to one of 16 user slots, with sounds, FX and SPACE. K1 moves the cursor and K2 changes the letter to rename it.

On HOME

K1	Key (major keys).
K2	SPACE: one knob for grains, shimmer, reverb, echo and a cleaner low end.
K3	Level of the focused layer.
K4	BPM.
ALGORITHM	Which of the four voices you are on.

Shaping a voice

EDIT	Five pages per voice: SOUND, TONE, OSC, VOICE, MIX (level, pan, reverb send, echo send).
ENV	Amp envelope; press again for the filter envelope.
LFO	Tempo-synced filter motion, autopan, analog drift.
SEL (hold)	Every knob moves one fine step per click. On the mixer, the faders become pan.

Global effects · FX

FX ×1 · DIRT	Drive, bits (16 down to 4), sample rate, mix.
FX ×2 · TONE	High pass, low pass, a gentle compressor, output.
FX ×3 · TEXTURE	Granular cloud (in time), octave shimmer, width, chorus.
FX ×4 · VERB + DELAY	Plate reverb and tape-style stereo echo.

Settings · GLO

GLO	Clock and MIDI, swing, click, and THEME (Crystal, Ember, Forest, Mono). SELECT scrolls; ALGORITHM or K1 changes the value.

Install, update or go back to the stock firmware: the latest release. If the FM-1 ever will not start, hold REC while switching it on.
